The family entertainment center has a pool, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, arcade games, and outdoor patio. The indoor pool is open from 8am-11pm with 10pm-11pm being adult time only. Towels are provided at the pool and a restroom with a shower is also available. Capacity of the pool is 30. A handicapped accessible chair is available at the pool, and recycling containers are in use as part of our Living Green Environmental program. Arcade games are available for both adults and children. The pool connects to an outside patio that overlooks the Aerial Lift Bridge and has a panoramic view of the scenic Duluth City Side and Hillside.
The pool is located on the first floor off of the lobby and is handicapped accessible. Alcohol, food, and glass containers are not allowed in the pool area as per health code guidelines and a lifeguard is not provided. The pool and hot tub are maintained by a certified pool engineer as to provide our guests with the very best possible experience. Pool toys, floaties, and Little Swimmers are provided in our gift shop for a fee. Come and relax and take a dip in our pool.
A hot tub is located in the pool area of the family entertainment center on the first floor of the hotel and is handicapped accessible. It has a capacity of 6. It has an ADA approved lift chair for our guest’s convenience. Hours of the hot tub are 8 am to 11 pm with 10-11 pm being adult only time. Come relax in the warmth of our hot tub during any season to take the stress out of your life.
The hotel offers a large cedar sauna with a 10 person capacity. It is located in the indoor pool area on the first floor of the hotel. The sauna is handicap accessible. The sauna offers a bench to relax on while your troubles melt away with the comfort of a modern sauna stove. Water is available at your fingertips to coat the rocks to steam away any stress you may have.

In the lobby of the hotel is an ATM Machine located directly across from the Concierge Service Center for our guests’ convenience. It is available 24 hours a day for guest use. It is handicap accessible.
The hotel offers a 70 person capacity banquet-meeting room with over 850 square feet of space and an attached outdoor deck with the best view in the hotel, overlooking the Duluth harbor and the Harbor Cove Marina. The room can accommodate groups from 5-70 for meetings, banquets, and private parties. The space can be divided into two rooms for a more private setting and offers access to the outside deck from both rooms. Each room is controlled separately for heating and cooling. Containers for recycling are provided as part of our Living Green Environmental Program.
The room’s modern technology includes a 40 inch satellite LED television, two 27 inch televisions, computer controlled projector, a large video screen, amplifier, and speakers. A wet bar, counter space, 2 microwaves, and 2 mini refrigerators are also included in the room. The room offers wired and wireless free internet. Offsite catering from a variety of choices is available.
The hotel’s harbor view is an exceptional sight for executive retreats, conferences and seminars. The beautiful waterfront setting is ideal for receptions and social events. A breakout area, restroom, ice machine and vending area for guests and party-goers is located right next to the meeting room for easy access. The meeting room deck overlooks the beautiful blue waters of the Lake Superior Duluth Harbor and offers a magnificent view of the sailboats of the Harbor Cove Marina and the U.S. Coast Guard ship Alder. The deck is the perfect place to host a bar for your event, have an outdoor breakout session, conduct a small meeting or just sit and relax and enjoy the view. The deck seats 8 people and allows for 15 people standing.
The resort provides a glass and marble fire table for guests to just relax in front of a vibrant and crackling fire. Fire table hours are from 6pm until 11pm. The fire table is located directly in front of the hotel towards the Breakwater Pier Walk. You are able to watch the Harbor Marine and ship traffic from the fire table patio along with the Coast Guard Station activities. It’s a great way to relax at the end of the day.
Our fabulous Buffet is available from Monday to Friday 6:30am-9:30 am and from 7:00 am - 10:00 am on weekends. The hotel’s deluxe breakfast is located on the first floor adjacent to the lobby and includes hot items such as sausage, eggs, potatoes, and waffles with maple and blueberry syrup. Strawberry toppings are available seasonally for your pleasure and indulgence. Individual refrigerated items include hard boiled eggs, two types of yogurt, applesauce, and fresh fruit cups.
Three types of oatmeal are available with scrumptious topping choices of brown sugar, raisins and craisins that will delight your appetite.
Five types of cereal and ice cold milk will provide early morning nourishment while apples, oranges, bananas, and slices of grapefruit give you the Vitamin C you need for the day. Chocolate syrup is available for the chocolate lovers in all of us for your milk or waffles. Three types of juices, apple, orange, and cranberry will quench your morning thirst.
Wheat and white toast with honey butter, butter, margarine, peanut butter, and assorted jellies are available.

We offer a 24 hour Business Center on the first floor across from the Concierge Service Center. It offers two business grade computers, printer and various office supplies to make sure you can stay in contact with the outside world, or to let your friends know how much fun you are having. The Business Center is handicap accessible.
The breakfast area seats 32 and overlooks the sailboats in the marina. An outdoor patio is directly accessible to the breakfast area and seats 30. Overflow breakfast seating is available in our lounge and groups may pre-enquire about using our meeting rooms for their breakfast.
As beautiful as our breakfast area and patio is with its stunning harbor views and stone fireplace, some guests will elect to relax on their own balconies while enjoying their breakfast. Watching the sunrise over the water, or the Aerial Lift Bridge in action is a great way to spend your morning.

The quaint 14 seat lounge includes a large expansive hand painted mural depicting the legendary Duluth Boat Club in 1909 by renowned local artist Brian Olson. From our pool patio, the historic and dynamic Aerial Lift Bridge provides a beautiful backdrop to Duluth’s panoramic city side. The small eco-friendly pond in front of the patio provides the possibility of bird watching, as families of ducks have been known to take a casual paddle in the pond’s waters. The drive through canopy provides our guests with a dry and safe environment to unload their luggage and drop off guests out of the weather elements. It is within easy access of the front entrance of the hotel. It has a drive through height limitation of 13 feet.
Motorcycle parking is provided directly in front of the hotel in a safe and well lit area so that our guests can leave their motorcycles in an undisturbed environment. Some of the most popular motorcycle rides in the Midwest are the drives along the North Shore Highway 61 and the circle tour of Lake Superior.
Our guest laundry is open 24 hours a day with guest room key access for our guests’ security and privacy. The machines are coin operated and change can be received from the Concierge Service Center. Detergent and fabric softener are available in our 24 hour gift shop. Guest laundry is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel and is handicap accessible.
Vending machines are located on all three floors for guest convenience, including soda pop, chips, candy, and free ice vending. Each guest room includes an ice bucket, tray, and liner for our guests’ needs.
Our gift shop is open 24 hours a day and is located adjacent to the Concierge Service Center. It’s the perfect place to shop if you forget a toiletry item at home, have a craving for ice cream, pizza rolls, or a bag of potato chips and soda pop. Pain relievers, corkscrews, and Little Swimmers are just a few of the handy travel items it offers. Before leaving on your day’s adventure in the morning, you can grab some trail mix, Powerade, or some beef jerky. Items can be charged directly to your hotel room for our guests’ convenience.
The hotel offers in all of its public areas free wireless internet access with a protected access code that is given to guests at check in. Free wireless and direct plug in wired internet is also available in all the guest rooms for our guests’ convenience, privacy, and security.
A daily complimentary hotel newsletter called the Park Point Gazette is placed in front of every guest’s occupied room for our guests’ convenience. Papers are also available at the Concierge Service Center. The gazette provides daily travel times, names, and countries of origin of all the ships entering and departing the harbor through the Aerial Lift Bridge. It also includes Duluth daily attraction events, a three day weather forecast, and events that have happened on this date in history. Many guests take the gazette with them as a guide to plan the day to see a 1,000 footer pass under the Aerial Lift Bridge.
Free copies of the Minneapolis Star Tribune are placed in our lobby 7 days a week for our guests’ reading pleasure and to keep them informed on Minnesota and world events. Copies of the free entertainment Duluth Reader can also be found in the lobby for those guests looking to check out the local entertainment and art scene.
The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to Canal Park 7 days a week. It is on request at 9:15am, 12:15pm, 2:15pm and 5:15pm and is on a set schedule leaving every hour in the evening starting at 6:15pm, 7:15pm, 8:15pm, 9:15pm and 10:15pm. It drops off and picks up in the heart of the entertainment and dining district of Canal Park. This provides you with easy access to over 18 restaurants, 15 unique shops, the Lakewalk, the William A. Irvin, Vista Fleet Charters, the Aerial Lift Bridge, the Minnesota Rip Draw Bridge, the seasonal Port town Trolley stop (June-Aug), Amsoil Arena, the DECC, and Lake Superior Maritime Museum. The shuttle is also used for Grandma’s Marathon to bring our guests to the bus departure area to get taken to the starting line. During Bentleyville, the shuttle brings guests to the Jingle Bell Bus and Bentleyville. The shuttle is a 14 passenger Ford Deluxe Van with air conditioning. Check with the Concierge Service Center for exact shuttle times.

The Breakwater Pier Walk is located right in front of the resort. It provides a safe harbor for the sailboats and water craft of the Harbor Cove Marina. It has picnic tables at various locations. It is a perfect place to watch the ships go by in the harbor up close, watch the July 4th fireworks, cast a fishing line, or have a family picnic. You are able to bike around the Pier Walk or take a leisurely stroll. Right next to the Breakwater Pier Walk is the United States Coast Guard station and the 225 ft. Alder Ship. The Breakwater Pier Walk is a great place to take pictures of the passing ships, the US Coast Guard Alder Ship, and the hotel.
The Station is located 300 feet from the Park Point Marina Inn and is a direct neighbor of the resort. It is home to several small boat units as well as an Aids to Navigation (ATON) Team and a marine safety office. It is also a homeland security, port security, and environmental response and waterway unit. Their personnel practice winter ice rescues right in front of the hotel in the winter time in the Harbor Cove Marina harbor. It hosts the 225 foot ice cutter Alder ship, which when in port provides a majestic backdrop to the station. Children love seeing the Alder entering and leaving the station.
A family picnic area is located on the Breakwater Pier Walk. Guests can relax and watch the ships as they enter and leave the harbor. The United States Coast Guard Station can be seen from the picnic area. In the evening the lights of the Blatnik Bridge, which connects Minnesota and Wisconsin, can be seen in the distance from this area. Over 9 restaurants deliver to the Hotel Resort for lunch or dinner and some offer special picnic lunches. Ice Cream can be purchased from the gift shop and enjoyed while watching the sailboat races from the picnic tables.
The Harbor Cove Marina is a 100 slip marina that sits right in front of the Park Point Marina Inn Resort. Various sizes of sailboats, watercraft, and charter vessels occupy the slips. There are 4 designated boat slips for use by hotel guests, for a fee, at the marina. Contact the resort’s Concierge Service Center to inquire about guest docking rates. Guests may put their boats in the harbor 4 blocks away. The marina provides a romantic backdrop to the hotel and adds a Nantucket or Bayfield like charm to the resort. Harbor view rooms overlook the marina and the Lake Superior Duluth Harbor.
Park Point is the world’s largest freshwater sand spit and has one of the best beaches in the Midwest. Park Point Beach is located 2 blocks from the hotel and provides our guests with hours of enjoyment. Ranked by Trip Advisor with a Certificate of Excellence, the beach is a great location for sand castle building, ship watching, picnics, a swim in Lake Superior, or an evening walk. One of Duluth’s true hidden treasures, the beach’s convenient location to the hotel lets our guests easily walk to it at any time of day. It has its own website with water and wave conditions, weather forecast, and a live beach cam. The beach is very romantic in the summer evenings as the warm Lake Superior breeze cascade against the sand dunes for pleasurable hand held strolls. Within easy walking distance, and located only four blocks from the Park Point Marina Inn, the Aerial Lift Bridge is one of the most recognized attractions in Minnesota. The long time symbol of Duluth provides a gateway for all ships entering and leaving the Lake Superior Duluth Harbor. It provides a fantastic view to see the ships up close and wave to the crew on board. Rated by Trip Advisor as a Certificate of Excellence award winner, the lift bridge is a historic landmark. Guests who do not want to walk to the bridge, can rent a bike from the hotel, or take the complimentary evening hotel shuttle which will drop you off right in front of the bridge. A daily shipping schedule is available in the hotel’s newsletter, The Park Point Gazette, and on the resort’s travel information center, to help you see when the ships will pass under the bridge. The bridge is a children’s favorite and a surefire way to put a smile on their face when they get a chance to watch an iron ore ship pass by up close.
This old growth pine forest is located at the eastern tip of Park Point. Red and white pines dominate the site. The area is 18 acres and offers a hiking trail, dune beach, and various plant mixes. A myriad of shore birds use the area as a resting spot. It is open to the public for non-motorized activities such as hiking, bird watching, nature photography, and snow shoeing. The forest is unusual as it is comprised of trees of many different classes, has four various plant communities, and some precious ferns. Located approximately 6 miles from the hotel on Park Point, this area is very unique and worth exploring if you enjoy birds, hiking, plant species, or a new adventure.
Sky Harbor Airport is located at the end of Park Point, approximately 6 miles from the hotel. It is one of only 4 public airports in Minnesota offering both a hard surface runway and a water runway for seaplanes. It covers 70 acres and was founded in 1946.
This was the first lighthouse built at the head of the lake. Minnesota Point Lighthouse was lit in 1858. The remains of the tower are on The National Register of Historic Places. The lighthouse was deactivated in 1913. It is located on the Minnesota Point Hiking Trail that runs behind Sky Harbor Airport on Park Point approximately 6 miles from the hotel.
The Lafayette Community Center is located on Park Point. It includes a play land, a pleasure ice skating rink in the winter, sandlot baseball field, community garden, a historic building to rent for parties, weddings, social activities, and 2 access points to Park Point Beach. Within easy walking distance of the hotel resort is one of the top attractions in Duluth and a guest favorite. Duluth Lakewalk is located 4 blocks from Park Point Marina Inn and Resort. It extends from between Canal Park and S. 60th Ave East. The southern half of the trail, of approximately 2 miles, follows the shore of Lake Superior quite closely to 20th Ave. The trail is used for walking, bicycling, roller blading, and jogging. It offers pristine views of Lake Superior and provides easy access to the shoreline to skip rocks, agate hunt, and swim. Various restaurants and shopping can be accessed from the paved path along the way. Resort guests can rent bikes to travel its journey, or take the complimentary evening shuttle which will drop them off right in front of the beginning of the Lakewalk at the Aerial Lift Bridge. Everyone should walk the Lakewalk once in their lifetime to truly understand the area of Lake Superior and the beauty of its shoreline. The Lakewalk is one of Duluth’s most beautiful treasures and a must see experience.
This Duluth landmark is located at the base of the Aerial Lift Bridge and 4 blocks from the Park Point Marina Inn and Resort. The Breakwater provides the canal structure from which ships pass under the Aerial Lift Bridge, to go in and out of the Lake Superior Duluth Harbor. The entrance piers are 300 feet apart, the same distance as a football field. The piers have a length of 1700 feet and project roughly 1,150 feet beyond the shoreline. This is a great place to take pictures of ships passing through and to experience the waves of Lake Superior.
Duluth’s entertainment and dining district is known as Canal Park, which is located only 4 blocks from the Park Point Marina Inn. The area offers over 18 different restaurants and eateries of various costs and cuisines. The resort provides a complimentary evening shuttle to Canal Park for our guests dining convenience. Canal Park is Duluth’s distinguished shopping headquarters. The resort provides a complimentary evening shuttle to Canal Park for our guests’ shopping convenience.

The center is a museum operated by the United States Army Corps of Engineers and is located at the foot of the Aerial Lift Bridge. It overlooks the entrance to the Duluth Superior Harbor. It is free of charge to tour and offers daily shipping schedules along with the history of Great Lakes shipping, the Port of Duluth, and various ship wrecks like the Edmund Fitzgerald. It has exhibits documenting and preserving the heritage of this maritime region. It is located 4 blocks from the Park Point Marina Inn.
The trolley circulates between Downtown Duluth, Canal Park, and Bayfront Festival Park between 11:30am and 7:00pm. It provides daily service 7 days a week between June and Labor Day. A round trip on the trolley takes about 30 minutes, or you can use it to be dropped off in front of some of Duluth’s more popular restaurants, event areas, and attractions. The trolley goes in front of the DECC, Amsoil Arena, Bayfront Festival Park, The Depot, Lake Superior Railroad, and the Holiday Center in downtown Duluth. Guests can use the trolley to go shopping downtown, get something to eat at an area restaurant, or take an afternoon brewpub and microbrewery tour. Because it goes right past the DECC, Amsoil Arena, and Bayfront Festival Park, the trolley is a great transportation option for concerts and shows where traffic and parking may be more congested. Trolley fair is only 50 cents for a ride or $4.00 for a daily pass. Children love the trolley and it provides a great photograph opportunity. It also provides less of a carbon imprint due to its rideshare qualities. The hotel resort complimentary evening shuttle will drop our guests off right in front of the trolley stop in Canal Park. We always suggest to take the trolley just for fun. At 50 cents a ride it’s by far the best value in town.
