Favorite stops include Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, Gooseberry Falls State Park, Palisade Head State Park, and the iron ore docks and the breakwater walk in Two Harbors. We suggest to travel to Palisade Head State Park, 4 miles north of Silver Bay, and approximately 58 miles away from the hotel, on the first leg of your day-trip for one of Lake Superior’s most scenic views. On your way back remember to stop for lunch at the Scenic Café and always stop for world famous pie at Betty’s Pies.
